Your Spotify account stores years of listening history, curated playlists, and potentially your Premium subscription with payment information. Hacked Spotify accounts are commonly sold on dark web markets, used to stream music for fake artists, or have playlists replaced with spam. Protecting your account keeps your music and money safe.
Spotify requires passwords to be at least 8 characters. However, weak passwords leave your account vulnerable to credential stuffing attacks. We recommend 16+ characters with uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters for real protection.
Strong Spotify passwords look like "Mus!c#Str3@m*8Qz" or "Pl@yl!st$9KmXp". These combine various character types for maximum security. Never use song lyrics, artist names, or music-related terms that could be guessed.
